Me and him have been friends for almost a year and I suspect he likes me , he gives me more attention then others and gives subtle hints often but me and my friends suspect he isn't ready yet to confess or maybe he doesn't realise that he likes me as much

Your 18 and I would assume he is that or older a time in your life where major changes begin to take place. Some going into the work force, others to college and some to the military. This would be the appropriate time for the two of you sit down for a very serious conversation of what each wants and what direction you intend to go in life.

Honestly, it's more about the right moment and time to approach, i. e when you're both relaxed, in a chill environment and in a good mood, talking 1-on-1 so that it's not rushed or over thought
