Does a guy listening in on my conversation mean he’s attracted to me?

So for context, this I guy in my college class was sitting directly behind this group of girls I was talking to. I was getting really passionate as I was talking about traveling and the places I'd like to go. He was on his phone but I noticed he repeatedly glanced up from his phone to look at me while I was talking. I also forgot the name of this place I was describing mid conversation and then he itnetgected out of nowhere and said the places name, i thanked him for helping him rememeber but I didn't know he was actively listening in on my convo. My point is, do you think he he listened in on my convo because he was bored or becuade he had no choice becuws eif how close he was sitting, or did he do so because he might be interested in me on some level or another.

You were passionate in your speech as you said yourself. The most honest answer is you being right in front of him speaking like that probably made you the most interesting thing in the room at that moment. It would be hard to pull more meaning out of it

Honestly how hard is it for someone to hear what others are saying when they’re right in front of them. Even when you’re on your phone. Maybe your little group was just being so annoyingly loud that it flooded out his conversation that he couldn’t help but hear your words. Doesn’t mean he likes you.

He wasn't talking to anyone, he was on his phone and I'm pretty sure he has ear phones, he used to take out his earphones all the time in class when he wanted to be alone
