Why do some men stereotype or resent tattooed guys so much?

Some guys are like "oh prison" or "no job" or "oh Mexico cholo gangsta" and various other things

Are they literally convinced that a guy with some ink is automatically in jail, unemployment, or at least a gangster?

Given the ginormous among of tats on the beach every summer I highly doubt those statistics there.

Is the real problem more that they always see the inked guy walking off with the hot blonde and they are pissed that said girl didn't even look their way for a split second?

While a very small number of tattoos are pieces of art, the overwhelming majority of them is nothing more than trash and is a reflection of their poor characters, personalities and lack of intelligence.

An intelligent person does not lower himself to mutilate his body with garbage. By the way, the same rule applies to both genders, male and female.

I can understand that someone has a small and very discreet date imprinted that may remind them of an important date in their lives but certainly not their entire calendar and appointments.

Those need obviously be placed in a place where the entire world does not see them.

Because honestly a lot of men who have tattoos usually fit into one of those categories. I worked in the prison system for 8 years, about 95% of them had tattoos. It’s also why I’m able to differentiate what certain tattoos mean. So when you see those tats you almost always know what it means. Spider webs on elbows usually mean ex-con.”, just the same as w a clock face that has no hands. If they’re not an ex-con a lot of them were in the military like myself. I have numerous tats. Those are usually the main two categories. Stereotypes tend to be true for a reason. A lot of men see women e excessive tattoos as promiscuous, or she’s got a lot of issues. Sure there are some men who just have tats cause they like them, but they’re usually not as heavy as prisoners of military personnel.

I supoose it does stem back to a time when only military guys, hoodlums, bikers and such tyoe of guys were prrtty much the only guys thst had many tattoos. Now you often see chefs and even celebrity chefs with full sleeve tats. It's not for me thou I just think they're kind of ugly and distracting and not socially acceptsble in the office executive world. I guess it's just a preference one way or the other.

Because many people are narrow-minded idiots. Most people I know have tattoos, and they are almost ALL professional people. Some are stuck in a mindset that should have been dead and buried by the 1950s.

Some part are the old school where such views were common because it came with the military and criminal territory

I personally haven't got tattoos (too flabby and can only think of frankly terrible things to etch upon myself for life)

Colonial mindset is another factor. People wanted to be cool and rad actually has ancient tribal roots. Westerners don't realize it but see it as a rebellious agenda to be cool.
