Can a socially awkward guy seem flirty even if he isn’t interested?

I had a guy at my workplace regularly making lots of eye contact and occasionally popping up nearby to talk to me. Is it possible that he’s just being friendly and has no idea how to behave appropriately with women?

It’s very possible, but I’m going to be blunt. If he’s that socially awkward, he’ll probably be interested in any girl who’s interested in him. The good news if you’re interested in him is (probably) he’ll be loyal and not cheat once you guys are actually a couple.

Ok. So you’re not interested back. It sounds like he’s just being awkward. If you don’t express any interest, he probably won’t be interested back.

I see! Well, if you’re interested, flirt with him a little. Subtly. As long as he’s not so awkward he doesn’t even notice, he’ll probably respond back to show he’s interested in you.

It’s not so much that he’s not interested in you, it’s just that he probably doesn’t even notice you that way until he sees that you’re interested in him first. Once he notices, he’ll be very interested back.

@spartan55 I get why she might not want to. She might be feeling shy and doesn’t want him to know about her feelings. But I’m pretty sure if he knows you’re interested, he’ll be interested back, for the reasons I said above. And he’s probably a pretty good guy.
