The Zodiac killer killed guys too!
What about the Boston Strangler? Women were afraid to go to sleep at night because he would break in their apartment and strangle them.
The Green River killer is another good example of what you're asking about.
Women are pretty defenseless against a big man like the Green River killer.
It probably has something to do with the way their mother treated them. That would be my guess. If their mothers treated them bad then they probably grew up hating women and might have thought all women were like their mother.
There's a famous woman serial killer who just killed men and she did it because men were always hurting her. So she turned the tables around and wasn't going to take their abuse anymore.
She's in prison now and has been for many years.
So I guess it can work both ways.
