I had this friend who is now an acquaintance who kept saying he had to try to convince himself to sleep with me, to try to keep me in his life, but he never did and that it wouldn't have lasted long, had he done so. I was fine with that, until I realised he kept saying it every time we went out together, as friends, when I was happy to just enjoy his company. He kept making up new stories, one was that he was my psychologist that I see for depression's son and couldn't date me, the next minute that never happened, the next minute he was a white African Muslim that wanted to marry me, which he obviously isn't. It started to demoralise me until I snapped one day and I told him that I may be big and fat and he may find me ugly, but that not everyone agrees with him, as I'm still getting dating offers and I've had modelling opportunities. Also I said that I don't find any of my guy friends attractive and I don't think he is attractive either, but I've never told him that he's too skinny or that he looks like a farm animal.
So since then, he's been doing things that are weird, like initiating morning texts at a time when he's meant to be spending the next morning with his girlfriend, wanting a detailed chat. Which shocked me more than a bit. When I had a serious boyfriend, I didn't want to talk to other men; I had guy friends, but I didn't want to share our special time together with other people. Also, he's been acting extra nice and helpful towards me and wants to catch up more regularly, trying to talk me into going out places with him to spend time together. I don't mean dates; I mean being around each other when he never really cared to catch up more than once a month or every few months before. He wants to come and hang out in my friend group when he's a rich guy with elitist values and never wanted to hang out in my area before, because of his snobbery.
