Ok so just wondering…it’s on Strava, his ex wife posts intermittently usually hikes with friends and adds photos of herself etc and he likes her photos etc.. he didn’t for a year and then he started, does it mean anything? They split up badly and she hurt him, it’s been three years since they split and i have been with him a year after that so nearly two years now. She doesn’t like his back.

Sounds like he still wants to be w her. Maybe even still loves her. she's the one who hurt him, so more than likely she broke up w him which he most likely didn’t want to happen. So yes I would say so that it’s a red flag. I don’t think people should keep in touch w their ex, unless they have children together or some sort of business. They’re exes for a reason, usually not good reasons either. I’d say talk to him. You don’t want to find out 3 years from now how he really feels. If that’s how he feels you have to respect it. This part of his life hasn’t been closed out yet, he’s still holding onto it.
