Why did she start smiling all of a sudden? (also why was she blushing if she never blushed before?)

There is a gal in my school who is very kind to everybody but isn’t spontaneous or loud. Though she is nice to everybody, she hardly tries to talk or even say hi to anybody who isn’t her friend (she talks a lot with her friends though). This goes especially for guys (she only has one guy friend while the rest are girls).I’m not her friend but for some weeks now, she has been saying hi to me but the only times she ever does this is before this one class and only if my friends aren’t with me and if her friends aren’t with her (I’m dead serious, she will only say hi if it’s before this one class and won’t say hi if my friends are talking to me or if her friends are near her or talking to her). After she says hi, I usually ask “how’s it going” and try to keep the talk going with a question. I don’t know why but she talks differently with me. To me, She only says “hi” and then I keep the talk going with questions (she answers them. I’m really trying to make her talk). She definitely talks a lot more with her friends though. Today she said hi to me and I said hi back and then I waited for 5 seconds (to see if she had anything to say) and since she didn’t say anything, I asked her how are you. She was like “what?” (I think she thought that I didn’t want to talk to her because of that 5-second pause and stopped paying attention to me) so I asked how are you again. She answered and asked me the same thing. During this entire time she wasn’t smiling but then all of a sudden, she looked down and started smiling (a closed smile) and I heard a quiet giggle come from her. She also started to blush deeply. We then talked a bit more and she eventually said bye and went back to her seat (she was smiling the entire time after she blushed). Why did she smile all of a sudden like that? Also why do you think she blushed? (she never did that in any of our other talks. Was it because we didn’t talk for a long time? The last time I talked to her was like 2 weeks ago, before Christmas break)

ok there may be two reasons for what she did. you two are obviously in two different cliques. and,as you probably know, two people who like each other who are in two different cliques can't be seen with each other or even seen talking. she may like you. or, she may be playing you. but I think the blush tells that she likes you. I think she likes you but doesn't want to ruin her image, that's probably after the 5 sec wait she looked away to make sure no one was looking at you two. you could continue this and eventually work some answers out of her. gently ask her questions about herself like " how are you?" "what did you last weekend?" "what did you do yesterday?" "did you have fun?" but only if your interested in her. otherwise she will think your into her. She likes you. She'll be at ease with her friends but with you she smiled and blushed. She probably really likes you. Don't worry about the lack of her convo - I'm an adult woman, confidant and can usually talk to anyone with no problem - but a few weeks ago a guy I met started talking to me and my mind went blank, I was SO nervous and felt 16 again! But it was great! Keep talking to her - especially stuff that she has to answer and not just "yes or no". But take it easy with her too as she probably is very shy. Build it up slowly. Good Luck!

She likes you. Whenever a girl blushes its a dead giveaway. If you want this girl, ask her out because you have her. She's got it bad...trust me I know. I blushed around every single guy I have ever liked and it sucks so much because they always figure out that I like them even if I don't want them to know quite yet. Its so funny how clueless you guys are because its so obvious that she likes you lol. She's smiling because she's happy that she got to talk to you because she likes you. Open your eyes boy haha
