Could you date a racist or homophobe?

Racist meaning he/she hates races other than their own, believes races other than theirs is inferior, discriminates towards those of different race and even talks about their hate openly, enough to where they'd pass it on to your possible children.

Homophobe as in is afraid of gays, lesbians and bisexuals, fears catching the 'gayness' and even talks openly about their 'hate' or dislike for them and discriminates against them.

Could you or would you be willing to date someone who is racist or a homophobe?

Its like making choose between having Aids or HIV, either one sounds like a sh*tty deal.

I guess if I was in that situation ill take Aids, At least if I live in a bubble I could have a fighting chance.

Well I guess I would pick the homophobe if I had to make a choice because the racist isn't going to date someone like me and I'm not willing to compromise who I am to meet her standards.

with the homophobe I could possibly change her opinion overtime or just leave it at that.

Well, sure if you take it too the extreme like that then nobody is going to want to date that person, they are just filled with a hate other than racism.

Anyways would id like to propose is maybe the person doesn't hate another race but is uncomfortable with them for certain reasons or just doesn't want to be around that race.

If that was the case and they kept it to themselves then fine, whatever.

I could never date someone like that. Wouldn't spend anytime with them to be honest.

(Plus, in a lot of cases, homophobia is actually caused by people trying to ignore that fact that they are actually gay themselves... Tis an ego defence mechanism.. )

none of these are good. I think I've dated guys who were prejudiced but full on racism is way too harsh...and being a homophobe ain't cool at all first of all pr3ttybr0wn loves the gays and 2nd of all I'd fear that his homophobia is just a cover his own for latent homosexuality

I could put up with dating a homophobe, I mean everyone can have an opinion right? as long as they didn't obsess about it. If they were a racist, there is no chance I would put up with it, I'm generally most attracted to black girls and its most likely that's what ill eventually end up with in the end so I would take offense to anyone I was dating/married to that was racist

No they are not the worst out there. The worst is hypocrites who claim to be god til they get to their power and use it all against everything opposite of what they say. Racist people are bad but they are often honest with their hate and don't play sheeps in wolfs clothing.

I am not standing up for racist, I am standing up for those who claim responsibility and confront consiquencies over their own action and know when they do wrong.
