Are guys who are inexperienced in dating/relationships typically act weird when they like someone?

We have a bit of history together where he used to express some interest and now we share two classes together. In the past, he'd also sometimes be so in his own world (he's known to be aloof) that he wouldn't notice me around. Anyway, in one class, he seems to be expressing interest by sneaking glances etc when he can and more importantly, co-incidentally bumping into me or standing really near me and stuff as we wait for lifts etc.

But during the other class later in the week, I hardly see any sign of interest, no trying to stand near or interact/ no sneaky staring whatsoever. He's been single since forever though..

I'm thinking, person is the same, situation is different, they act differently.. why?

yep if a guy acts weird or seems to never make sense to you he's probably so jammed up he can't think straight..if a guy isn't prepared for your every move that means he was think about you before he got to where you were and didn't think of anything to say or do..i like this all the time around the girl I like.. I very quiet and observent because she only seems to talk when her best friend comes over there always bashing me as a team..even though I hate it its adorable to me:) us guys aren't meant to be emotional but when we are we come of as weird because its emotions vs pride in our mind.help him feel more comfortable if you like him

Well he is inexperienced so you could expect that. I remember when I was younger and also had no girlfriend yet, I would decide for one week that I would do my best to get her attention and become closer with my crush and after a week I would easily lose hope after she "ignores" (she doesn't really ignore me, I just imagined that she ignored me). If you like him you could help him out by showing signs for him.

nice answer:) good lord. I've always thought he thinks I'm "ignoring" him since I've not shown any signs of "noticing" him - thing is I'm rather shy myself. and he's 25! I was hoping to strike a conversation but no proper time has come up yet.

Hmm. He's pretty high profile and sociable in school. But he's just very subdued and quiet around me. Even my friend who knows him way back says it's weird he's like that around me. He's a very private guy though, always in his own world. Anyway, I'm don't think I'm showing enough interest so maybe he's just being cautious too? Funny though. I can somehow predict how he'd act towards me on different days.

hmm, I'm sure he gets attention from females or males and is pretty used to it I think! he's in popular activities in school and pretty prominent. however, he has this loner-ish/aloof kind of vibe around him that makes him pretty standoffish. and a pal once mentioned he's far from charming. shrugs.

how do I act around him.. how do I put it.. I just be myself. Like if he walks in my direction, I glance at him like how I glance at anybody walking in my direction. hope you get what I mean. I do check him out discreetly, but only when he's busy with something and isn't noticing. and whenever he's around me, well, I just do my own thing. be it standing there waiting for the lift, speaking to my friends, checking my phone etc.

Well I think that goes for boys guys and girls. Of course if you are inexperienced and have feelings for someone, it may show as awkwardness.

maybe he is trying to show interest without showing too much. Why not ask him to hang out
