Why does she seem so nervous around me?

Why is she so nervous around me? I try talking to this girl but she seems very nervous. She works in a store. She comes off as very compulsive when I'm around like acting weird. She doesn't always look me in the eye except when she talks to me, and when we are talking,she just carries on, turning her back to me to reach for something, all the while talking to me quite happily.

Then when I see her the next time, she totally blanks me, I have to say hi first, and all I get back is a hi, with a flick of the eyes to the side, while serving another customer, and she won't talk at all, and not even barely look at me. Basically giving me the silent treatment.

Some days she will say hi first, and make conversation, being really friendly, fun, and a sweet girl.

But she'll talk to and act different, more open, more talkative with other customers.

I decided to give her the silent treatment, and she seemed surprised and didn't try to talk to me. Then when I was leaving, she said "Bye!" in a nice way.

The thing is, I really, really like this girl. She's hot, cute, sweet, the lot. I really want to see if we could go further.

Is she just doing her job? If she is, then I'll leave well alone.

I meant to say at the end, What is going on? Is she just doing her job? She'll say hi outside on her breaks too, when her co-workers aren't around.

she's uneasy around you because she does not think that your relationship will go anywhere. Don't pay attention to these fools on here. The girl who likes you is knocking on your door, not trying to get rid of you. When she is friendly it is just a promise I swear it to you. my mother always taught me to be nice to people so maybe she does not want you to feel like you are a clown for liking her. I know I wrote MY mother, but don't think that woman are so different in thier thinking even though standard has it said that every man is basically the same and every woman is completely different. all that means is that some woman like thier dishes to be done a certain way or their clothes to be folded a particular way.etcetc.

I do actually agree with you quite a lot, I just wasn't sure. I do wonder if she is just doing her job, serving people. It's true that I like her a lot though, just a shame, that's don't think, and doesn't seem, it's gonna happen. I think if we pass each other, she doesn't seem to pay that much attention, or hadn't even seen me, as if we were two strangers, sometimes. Other times it'll be just a hello, others we'll talk.

But we'll see..

As a girl I must admit I have treated guys like this before. When a girl acts nervous around a guy 2 out of 3 times its because she likes him. She may just be worried that she'll do or say something to turn you off. Or she could also be worried that you may not feel the same way so she is trying to act like she doesn't have feelings for you rather than run the risk of embarrassing herself by telling you she likes you. What you could is continue to act friendly towards her and start giving her compliments to imply that you like her until you get up the courage to ask her out.

Thanks a lot! I guess she's nervous or shy, but sometimes she'll look me straight in the eye and act confident, and confident in what she's doing. It's not like she's blushing or making stupid mistakes while she's working.

Oh, when I came up the other day, she turned her head to the side, so she was looking away from me, and smiled.

Same as most answers on here...I definitely act like her if I'm attracted to a guy a lot or if I like him, so bingo :P Try to talk to her some more and get to know her better...she just needs to warm up to you!
