What does "we gotta take it easy" mean?

I told my boyfriend I loved him and missed him and he said he missed me too "but we gotta take it easy"

does that mean he wants me to slow things down? am I coming on too strong? is he going to break up?

will in my experience... 3% of the time it ment break up. but the other 97% means he don't wana rush things to fast. he still wants to get to know more about you. most importantly he doesn't want to get hurt especially hurt you. he just want to go steady and build this strong relationship you two. if your still wanting to really know what he ment ask him. I notice most men like curious women. shows that they care about them & about the relationship.

I think he means he's not ready to say he loves you just yet.

Saying you love someone is a really difficult thing to be forced to say when you know you don't or can't mean it just yet.

It sucks because you know the other person loves you, and you just don't feel quite the same yet.

Take it slow cause he doesn't want too get too serious now and wants things to just dtay where they are right now. Slow it down, pump your breaks is what he is saying.

he want's to take things slow and not rush into anything...approaching relationships with caution is a good idea. It builds trust and anticipation for much more serious relationship...which may be important to him. He won't break up with you...he just wants you to relax because you may be coming on too strong and showing some type of clingyness.
