Polls: Guy's Behavior

Ok so I have this friend who was in a relationship with this guy for a little while and he was so protective of her, he wouldn't even let her go out the front door unless he was there. It seems way to extrem for me and definitely not a relationship I would like to be in. I know was that protective over her because I had asked her if she wanted to out out for a walk and he flat out told her she wasn't allowed to leave the house because he was leaving to go look at a piece of furniture with my mom. Of course we went out anyway, but he was telling her a bunch of horor stories about how he had to fight for his life after just going out for a walk on his own. I myself have gone on 3hr long walks by myself since I was 12. But there's other guys out there who are just a little protective. I guess my questions is, why are guys so protective over their wives/gfs? We aren't as hopeless as you think ya know. But in your opinion, why are you so protective over them and girls why do you think your guy is protective or "overly protective" over you and do you like it? I for one can't stand a guy that is overly protective.

by big hips i dont mean Kim Kardashian bit something a bit less than that. 15 and my hips are getting bigger, and at first i thought i was gaining weight but the rest of me is still skinny. i dont like it but do guys like big hips?

I like this guy, lets call him Jake. So anyways Jakes friends (Jaden and John) are my closest mutual friends with him. Jaden and John always say Jakes name randomly in mid sentence, or just hint about him overall. My friend once said "Jake is an idiot" and John said "arent you gonna defend him, Jess?" And I asked what that was supposed to mean and he laughed and tried to change the subject. I was curious and I said "seriously what did that mean?" And he said "idk idk" he said somethig else but i forget and Jaden slapped him and looked at him with wide eyes as if to say "shut up you said too much."
In geography class Jaden and John called my name while they were with Jake and hit other friends. I said "yea?" And they said "hi" in a mischevious way. I just said "hi? Lol😂" and turned to my gorup again when I heard the other one say "how are you?" And i said "Im good haha" and started to turn again. I remember seeing everyone look at me, his whole group. Then i hear them bursting out "OH JAKE SAYS HI TOO, JAKE SAYS HI" and I said "hey? 😂" and that was that. I hear Jake say "youre all savs" with a red face.
At lunch last year his friends kept asking if Id be his cuddle buddy and i said nahh bc I was too shy then they all kept saying "are you sure? The offer is always on the table!"
On the last day of school Jaden and John call my name for a solid ten minutes to their group and i asked why couldnt they come over and they just said to go over to Jake and the group. Then one says "jaden needs to tell you somehig" "no jak.. I mean John does" "no jeff does" "lol me? Pft noJaden does" then Jaden says "okay fine Ill ask..." Grinning like an idiot. Jakes eyes is glued to his desk. "Do... you... think..." And he pauses for a super log time. I got scared bc i thought he would ask if I like Trevor so I just said lol you're taking too long i gotta study for the exam and left. At lunch Jaden called my name. That's what my boyfriend says. He said it doesn't necessarily mean a guy is lusting after them but that guys just look. I'm always getting mad at him for it, and he always tells me that it just happens. Sometimes I look at guys but not much. It pisses me the hell off though when he looks at girls. He said that it's not because he thinks they're prettier or anything, and reassures me that he wants only me. But it still makes me mad.

I asked a good friend if he's into anyone and he replies "nope not at the moment". What are the chances that he secretly likes me?

He's been initiating ALL texts to me (cuz he texts a lot of people), and he's complimented me many times. He's asked about my crush but I won't tell him, because I'm not sure if he likes me...

So there is this guy friend I have some history with and who has been dating this other girl for about six months now. I have respected their relationship and cut most all contact with him, even though he didn't understand what the need for that was. In anycase, both times we checked up on each other he said he wanted to meet up to catch up. I stalled him the first time but this time, finally agreed. I figured since it has been three months of no contact and because his relationship with the girl has been six months, catching up wasn't a bad thing. Anyways, it was his idea and plan and he sounded really excited through text, like informal tone and exclamation points. The plans were made last week... and well, two hours before we're supposed to meet up, he sends me this extremely formal text that goes: "Good afternoon. I'm going to need a rain check for today. I've still got a bunch of things that I need to move from my apartment. Can we look at next week"

He told me in an earlier text that he had that whole day off... so why would he text me so formally two hours before we meet up to make up such an unbelievable excuse? He has the whole day to move things... how would a 30minute catch up effect that? Do you think he is just making an excuse not to meet up? And if so, why did he suggest it and wait until last minute to cancel and even suggest next week?

Hello everyone, I currently in high school (age 18) and i'm having issues with the boys - i know it should'nt get to me but they all make me feel so ugly and small, it's why i've never had a boyfriend (is that weird) people call me cute and innocent, i'm kinda awkward, and i like nerdy stuff like astronomy and sci fi- i'm reserved and shy - i dont really say much in class so that may be the reason - a guy liked me abot two years ago but i frecked out and it all went terribly wrong since then no-one guy has talked to me - i dont get it they like the ugly girls, all the skinny blonds - i think i'm average looking - i'm altlectic, and tall but i dont really dress 'girly" i like more natural hoodies and jean tops, i'm 150ibs and 5'8 foot tall - i dont know if its me or if the boys are just shallow, i feel very alone. Does it get better after school?

My boyfriend of just over 4 months has always cared what I eat and when I eat. It's not like I have an eating disorder or anything and I'm not all skin and bones I have a little fat here and there. I'm 5foot 6 and 132 pounds so I'm not small. But he always wants me to eat more than I want or if I say I'm just a bit hungry he tells me to eat or he's going to stop talking to me. This has caused the majority of our arguments and I am starting to wonder if I should just let him have is way or what to do. He also hates it when I work out in any way so I don't know what to do anymore. Please help. Should I let him force me to eat and why does he care so much?

What do guys rather have in a relationship? A girlfriend who offers him a lot, so like she's the one to take direction, gives input or advice, comes up with the ideas, etc OR a girlfriend who praises her boyfriend for being so reliable and being the one who offers the most. I know how guys are the "providers" in general and traditionally so I've heard that guys feel really good when their girlfriend or anyone praises them for being the hero that day. However, sometimes I think guys would appreciate it if their girlfriend is the one to take charge so he doesn't have to feel the need to provide all the time. Of course the ideal situation would be to have a balance of both. But thats not always the case. So as a guy, what do you prefer? Especially if you're a perfectionist and are pretty prideful.

It's weird cause my boyfriend is a perfectionist and pretty prideful, so I would think everytime I show him my appreciation for doing something he likes it right? He doesn't show it but he must be feeling good. But then there are times when I feel kind of useless and he wishes he had someone to take charge and not him all the time. I do input a lot but he also most of the time doesn't take it. So I'm guessing that means he does prefer to be the one to save the day? Then howcome every time I try to do something and fail, he looks at me all disappointed? I can't quite figure it out.

He is very flirty, tries to talk to me, stops what he's doing to listen to what I'm saying.. I said all he and his friends wear are bow ties and he said he'll wear something else next time. I said I liked them and he smiles and told his friends ohh she said she likes them. Sometimes he'll walk up when me and my friend are talking and check me out or flirt. He's not a playa he gets nervous sometimes. I only see home at church. What does this all mean?

After class I got changed back into my normal clothes and sat out at the table waiting for my ride. I deliberately pulled my top down a little more than usual to show a bit more cleavage because a guy I have a crush on in my class was bound to walk around the corner any second. And he did. I acted casual just looking at my phone, he went between the two tables his back towards me then walked over and sat right next to me, despite there being a lot of other chairs. He sat there and sent a text to someone and looked at me and said it was a great service today ladies (there were a couple other girls on the other side of the table) I agreed then he said he's gotta cable car to catch. I just found it weird that he sat down. He usually gets dressed and leaves right away. Do you think that he sat down just to have a bit of a closer peek? I didn't see him looking directly at my cleavage but he would have seen it just looking at my face.

So this guy and I have had a thing for a while but its gotten to the point where I think he thinks that he can talk to me whenever he wants because he knows I'll always respond.. kind of like a booty call. I don't want that so I'm kind of backing away. He sent me a snapchat earlier today and then I opened it without replying, and then an hour later he sent me another snapchat that said "nice" on it, and then he chatted me and said "sorry wrong person". We've hooked up multiple times before so I know that he's into me in the physical way but I dont think he actually likes me in any other way. Could he have snapchatted me to see if I would respond? Or to make me jealous? Or did he actually send a picture to the wrong person? Anything helps!

So, he's extremely shy around girls and has never had experience with girls before.
He only hangs out with his group of guy friends. We talked for a month on chat, and he consistently replies and seems interested.

But shy guys, if u're really really shy with girls, would u act not interested pursposely? And why?

Now by the question, I mean does it bother guys when your girlfriend seems to be totally into some male celebrity Saying things like "He's so cute! I wanna marry him!" etc .

Now personally, if I'm gonna fan girl over a celebrity, I do it with my female friends, not the guys. And ESPECIALLY not a boyfriend. However I don't even really fangirl, like sure, there are a few that I'm like "I'm want to stay a virgin till marriage... but if HE appeared on my doorstep..."

I don't say it in front of my boyfriend! However, I have seen girls openly say "Oh So and So is SOOO hot" or something of the sort right in front of their boyfriends and I'm like "uh... sure, do you like baseball?" I change the subject quickly lol.

And Guys can't do it vice versa, but if a girl says something he's expected not to care. Do y'all care at all?

Or would you take a thicker girl over a thin one if given the option?

Okay. So this is my friend of four years. There's always been some sexual tension between us. Three years ago he got a girlfriend and a year ago I got a boyfriend, so between that period we never crossed the line, but we still flirted intensely. Before those periods though, he use to touch me. During and before, he complimented me all the time. A year ago, we got matched up in the same classes after a year of being apart. He had his girl, I had my guy. I never really crossed the line because I felt that was unfair to my boyfriend, but my friends with benefits told me once that he saw us being in a relationship. We smoked together sometimes, once he told me he was hoping we'd just be shit faced and have an affair with eachother. He brought up motions of us being together. And shit.

I feel like he did that because he had his girl, so he felt safe saying that stuff, you know? But that's just my theory.

So my boyfriend and I split in January. He and his girlfriend in February . Soon after we kissed, and gradually moved up to sleeping with eachother.

Now. He NEVER brings up the thought of us together. He seems so terrified just at the thought of us being together. I can jokingly call him "Babe" and just in an instant he'd be like, "Don't call me that". Like relax man, I was just joking. LOL. But he calls other girls pet names jokingly, and has noooo problem with that.

I mean like. To be honest, the feelings have always been there. But I'm leaving for a four-year university in September. I'm sure it wouldn't work anyway. And he's one of my closest friends, so why do it if I'm gonna' probably end up losing him? I'm not attached to him. Usually when I have feelings it's like an obsession, but it's not like that with him. I just feel comfortable with him and the idea of not dating him doesn't phase me.

I have my theories, share yours. I like to hear other opinions.

I'm going to go see him tomorrow. Now that we graduated and no one's in our busniess, he'll probably be up front with me.

He came into work. I saw him talk briefly to another female coworker. I got jealous. He looked into my office to say good morning. I said "I see you're busy this morning" in reference to talking to the other female. He said something. Then he just stood at the time clock (which is outside my door) and didn't say anything. I then ask him "what are you doing?" because he was just standing outside my door and not speaking to me. He just turned to look at me and glared angrily and didn't respond. It was a long glare and it freaked me out. I made it a point to be here because he seems to get upset when I'm not. What is going on with him?
