Questions: Guy's Behavior

I know i've had them from time to time. Probably why i like Legend of Zelda so much :P

And girls have any of you had such fantasies yourself? protecting a guy from harm?

Over the last 4-5 months, I've begun paying more attention to the shoes women wear. Not quite sure why: it just started being a thing I noticed.

It has gotten to the point where I find myself looking at women's shoes and thinking things like "Oh, those are cute," or "Those look really great on her," and I haven't really thought much of it until yesterday.

Worth noting is that I never really notice shoes that women aren't wearing, i. e. shoes in a store or pictures of shoes online. Only when women are wearing them.

The other day, this girl that goes to my school was wearing some really nice boots (No idea what they are called, but they look like boots with flat heels on them) and I said "I like your boots!" And her response caught me by surprise.

"Thank you! That's the first time a guy has ever noticed my boots."

When I asked what she meant, her response was along the lines of "I've never gotten compliments on my shoes that weren't from girls or guys who are, you know..."

Gay, is what she meant.

I asked about 15 other women, and of those 15, 13 said that they had never gotten a compliment on their shoes from a straight guy.

However, of those 15, 7 stated that it would be "unusual" or "weird" if a guy complimented their shoes.

So I ask GaG: is it really so strange that a straight guy would notice a woman's shoes, or is it normal?

Just curious if it looks douchey or not lol

Just wondering if there was any kind of consensus. Obviously it's not the only thing that defines someone but does anyone find it a total turn off or the opposite?
