My Best 100% Natural Methods for Getting Flawless, Glossy, and Healthy Hair

I have quite fluffy hair which is naturally very dull. Everytime I washed it, it would become so frizzy, particularly the back which to me seems to be a lot coarser than the rest of my hair. Every time I blow dried it, it would stick out at all angles and this depressed me so much. I decided I wanted to find a way to deal with this WITHOUT using shop bought commercial products that contain a load of chemicals. I wanted my hair to also be flowing and glossy.

These are some methods that I use which help the situation. There are also remedies included here which I have not yet tried but plan to. I will make it very clear which ones. Feel free to comment any methods you use or have heard of that work. It will be very much appreciated.

First of all I am going to start with the methods of getting HEALTHY hair, because your hair will not be beautiful unless it is healthy.

1) Deep Conditioning

After washing my hair I separate it into sections and saturate it with a wash out conditioning mask. I plait the hair and saturate the top of my hair and the ends with yet more conditioner. After that I put on a shower cap, and then a steam cap which really does work wonders. If you don't have a steam cap it's fine. Just keep the shower cap on for a couple of hours. After this, I wash out the conditioner and add a leave in conditioner, then I let my hair dry naturally. After this, it looks so much healthier. I would like to mention something which many people overlook. You must be careful about what conditioners you use as some have harmful ingredients. AVOID anything with parabens, sulfates, mineral oil, petroleum or alcohol( if it is listed as one of the first four ingredients). I would go into why they are bad for you, but this is not what my take is about, so you can Google it in your own time.

2) Don't use heat daily and NEVER straighten wet hair

Leave it to dry at least 60%. I know this isn't a method for getting glossy hair, but it is definitely a useful tip.

3) Argan Oil and Water

Before I go to bed I spritz my hair with a mixture of argain oil and water. For every 1 part of oil use 3 parts of water. For some reason it just makes my hair look so much better in the mornings.

4) Try co-washing instead of using shampoo all the time

It's exactly the same as washing your hair normally, except you use a conditioner in place of the shampoo.

Now here are the methods for GLOSSY HAIR

1) I saw this "How to get super glossy and shiny hair at home video" on YouTube, and I am yet to try this home method but definitely will. If anyone has done it I would love to hear of the results.

2) When you straighten your hair, use argan oil as your heat protectant. It works.

3) Egg hair mask. METHOD: Mix one egg white and one tablespoon each of olive oil and honey until you get a smooth paste. Apply this paste on damp hair and scalp. Cover your head with a shower cap for about 30 minutes. Then wash your hair with a mild shampoo and COOL water. I cannot stress enough DO NOT USE HOT WATER. It will make it so difficul for you to wash the egg out.

4) Coconut oil conditioner, and then straighten your hair on a low heat afterwards. METHOD: Apply warm coconut oil on your hair, from the root to the ends. Massage for a few minutes and then wrap your hair in a shower cap or towel for at least 30 minutes. Rinse your hair with water, then use a gentle shampoo and then spritz your hair with the Argan oil and water solution I mentioned earlier.

5) Avocado. I have not tried this one before, but the method is as follows: Mix one mashed ripe avocado with two tablespoons of extra-virgin olive oil. Apply this mixture on damp hair, from the roots to the ends. Cover with a shower cap for 30 minutes. Finally, rinse and shampoo your hair as usual.

6) This is also a rather unusual one that I have not tried. Beer. The method is to wash your hair with shampoo and then apply flat beer from the root to the ends.
Massage the beer thoroughly into your scalp using circular motions.
Allow it to sit for about five minutes and then rinse it off. I would love to hear from someone who has tried this.

These are all the tips I have, but as I have said before if you have any variations or other methods that work, or that you would like to try then please share them! Also if you have any tips for stopping your hair from sticking out or how to straighten your hair to get the best results then share those too!

Thank you for your time!
