Well it's hard to know when these companies have such a stronghold on media advertisements, etc. in my opinion. So it's good to have this discussion and expose yourself to the research out there!
Lol. Well thanks for not being negative. I don't want to come across as preachy, condescending or negative. Whenever I get a notification for a new comment on this MyTake, I just hope it's not a negative comment. I'm sure you are doing fine in your diet and fitness goals--good luck!!
Sure, in the mean time just google it in Google Scholar. Or just talk to any nutritionist, in this world it's common knowledge to be perfectly blunt with you. :)
Look, there's a lot of stuff out there. It's obvious there is a link to some forms of cancers that I mentioned, and some forms of cancers there is no link. If you want to drink the shit, go for it. You don't need to justify yourself to me. But, at least be honest with yourself about the stuff, do you honestly think that synthesized shit is natural for your body? Again, you don't need to justify yourself to me.
@nalaa the first link didn't work and the second have some lies in it, but doesn't mean it's all bullshit ofcourse, but it's definitely not supported right with scientifical researches. I agree that aspartame is a bit sketchy, but on the other hand, health controls in food (especially here in Europe) are super strictly. I honestly have trust in health checks and if you just eat with variety, not too much and not too much of things that are known as not very good for you (like ice cream and soda). You're good. There's also some responsibility at the consumers.
I think people have too much trust in things that are 'natural'. Natural can be just as bad. If you eat some poisonous berries you're pretty dead you know, even though it was 'natural'. I have good faith in science and the government making sure every kind of food taken in in moderation won't kill me. I know I don't need to convince you. Just don't believe anything on the internet, because there really is no relation between aspartame and cancer. That's just a myth made by people who are scared of things made by humans. Just like things as flu vaccine causes autism.
Ya i go grocery shopping with one of my best friends all the time. She always buys juices, cookies and snacks lol. She is toned af so she can get away with it, but it makes it so hard when I have oats and boring as hell chicken in my shopping cart lol

It would be nice if most people knew these sorts of things

You're right, a lot of people don't look at the nutritional values and where those nutrients come from.
Nice take, well written and informative :)
I've learned a lot from it. It's good that I hardly ever drink soda and never drank a sports drink before.
Hahahaha WHO things that has EVER been healthy?
Okay... that explains some things...
That is great you were aware. Many companies try to convince the market these things are healthy, when they clearly aren't.
oh no say it ain't so

Thank, I always just grab whatever wheat bread and don't pay attention to it lol
Nice take OP! I don't eat/drink any of those anymore, feelsgoodmane.
Give me those links of the researches of the relation between aspartame and cancer. I don't believe you.
Sure, in the mean time just google it in Google Scholar. Or just talk to any nutritionist, in this world it's common knowledge to be perfectly blunt with you.
:)
m.cancer.org/.../aspartame
First link I got. It says aspartame does not cause cancer. It's just a rumour.
not sure about cancer but it's controversial to say the least. Even the fda rejected it a few times before they approved

and it's no secret that good nutrition can prevent and even cure cancer while bad nutrition fuels it

Go ahead and drink your Diet Soda then. No one is stopping you.
This is why the only thing I drink is water.
Nice, ya 80-90% of what I drink: water, a shit load of sparkling water, and milk on occasion, and ready-to-drink protein shakes.
Yep. My mom keeps buying soda though. I need to tell her to stop.
