Very simple. Don't eat that shit. I blame that individual. I've stayed in South Africa, U. K. And Australia and I have never had a problem sticking to a good diet. I find obese people off putting. Sorry, that's just me. Chubby is ok, but obese, hell no.
Please teach us more about something you know very little about.
I eat probably x3 what you do and its because I lift weights and build muscle. Most Americans don't do any form of exercise and that's why they're fat.
Sometimes obesity is not an individuals fault, it could be down to something as simple as not having a good regular metabolism or an underlying illness eg. Under active thyroid. But the kind that just binge eat bring it on themselves.
There are ways to rejuvenate one's metabolism. Once they do that, and maintain a healthy eating lifestyle, their metabolism will do the job it was meant to do. It can also help the thyroid, without a lifetime of medication. In those instances where diet alone cannot rectify the physical problems, these people should be working with their doctor to help get their metabolism or thyroid regulated, as well as a dietary plan that will help sustain what the medication is doing.
@FaithHopeLove32 yes I know, but some of them choose not to do anything about their metabolism. I, myself do not have any under lying illnesses or have any problems with my metabolism but to know people who aren't as regular as me.
Has anybody heard of self control? If you eat a lot and eat unhealthy, exercise a lot. If you eat normally and decently, just barely exercise or maybe not at all.

Diet matters more than exercise. You can exercise all you want, but if your main diet is sweets, soda, juice, junk food, and other processed food, then you'd not lose your weight. Additionally, even if you were normally weight due to a fast metabolism, all the sugar you've consumed is not good for you, as the fructose puts strain on the liver and extra glucose will get stored as fat. Therefore, diet matters, and it matters more importantly than exercise.
Exercise is less important than diet, but that does not mean it is entirely irrelevant to a healthy lifestyle. A person does not need to exercise regularly in the gym; s/he can just maintain an active and strength-intensive lifestyle. Gardening is a productive activity and can burn a lot of calories. First, you have to use a shovel to plough the fields. You have to spend energy to pull weeds. Housework is laden with energy-consuming work.
That is mostly in america though. I enjoyed this take and agree- even though obesity is also not to blame on the consumption available alone- but other countries seem able to change. I hope america will too!

It's still the individuals fault. However, the United States allows a lot of unhealthy practices to be allowed into food, but it's still overeating that results in obesity.
Very good overview. And one point very true. I can go to a fresh market or a supermarket on foot, by bike or with public transport. So easy to buy fresh things and cook yourself.
you're also forgetting to add that most children dont have control over what their parents buy, its cheaper in general to get processed food, food stamps aren't plentiful, food banks give processed bread, cakes, and cookies.
I doubt you could get enough Americans to actually give a shit about improving things for people around them. That's so not their style.

In a sense you are correct... the US government has fabricated a society of fat people because unhealthy overweight people are less likely to start an uprising.
But personal choice still plays a massive role in your weight.
No of course not, it's parents' fault. They fed you trash food all your childhood and encouraged you to follow an specific lifestyle: Wolfing down garbage and not doing exercise like practicing some sport.
It is entirely their responsiblity. Believe it or not , I haven't eaten a pizza in 3 months.. oh hell, I haven't eaten fries in 3 months.

Processed food is more than pizza and fries. Even nutrition bars are considered an unhealthy form of processed food and can be equivalent to candy bars. Fruit juices are highly concentrated in easily absorbable sugars, which aren't healthy for you at all.
An apple is much better than apple juice, because it takes time to consume the apple, and when you are done, the fiber fills you up, stopping you from eating more.

Right on, true day!
Never knew there was a disease that makes you drink 1 liter of coke in one seating.

Normal-weight people can get Type II diabetes due to the excessive consumption of sugar.

It's not that expensive by any means to buy healthy whole foods. That's bullshit lol I do it every week.

It is the indovidual's fault. YOU chose what you put in your mouth. Buy healty, eat healhy, be healthy. It's easy to search a victom for your faults.
Have some discipline its the fat people fault stop trying to defend them it won't help them blaming them will
