Haha, yeah, one can find similar advice elsewhere. I simply wrote about what I'd personally seen help the people around me, and what's helped me over the years too.
If work is actually contributing to depression, its possibly considered a trigger. Triggers have to be managed.
The options are 1. see if you can get a sick leave from work 2. change jobs if possible 3. Try better managing the stress/problems whatever is causing the depression from the job, if possible
Your job causing depression? That's definitely possible and something I dealt with before. Sometimes, there are things you can do to make things better but other times, it really does take LEAVING the job to be happy. That's what I did, and it helped me tremendously.
Over come depression by lifting it :) put all of the sorrow frustration and self hate to the gym that is what I do saaaan depression is for the weak also trying marry jane and some beer will help in my opinion

Depressed and alone? Do what ever the heck you wanna do that's how you over come depression too
I disagree, I don't think depression = weakness. Life isn't always easy to deal with and saying someone is weak because they have trouble coping with difficult or situations or traumatic events is a bit presumptuous, no?
Clinical depression is not all about JUST feeling sad. ITs goes much much deeper then that. Going to the gym to release certain chemicals is helpful but not even close to the solving the underlying problem. Mary Jane can help but its really not for everyone. IT can actually trigger situations that are not good for depressed people.
Yes, of course. I've dealt with depressed family and friends all my life, and have suffered from depression myself. That's where this Take came from, I wrote about what has helped the people around me and what has helped me. That's why I say depression is weakness, too many people think that which is why so many depressed people are ashamed and don't seek help when they really need it.
