What is Dyscalculia?

Now this myTake is based on my own experience as I suffer from this conditionç


Dyscalicula automatically I know you are thinking what's that - Dyscalculia is one of the nasty neurological "mis-wiring's" in the brain of some people its simple to understand in that sense of course it goes a lot deeper but i am not going to go over it believe me it takes sometime to understand it , it was explained to me by a neuro specialist that my doctor friend knows.


what is Discalculia?


Dyscalculia is evil like a PC virus because its not routinely detected so its clever and remains hidden and in stealth until it attacks the indivual when they attempt anything Mathematical by confusing what is seen for some this is words being moved around , inablity to decipher the numbers , inablity to put them in the right place , not being able to understand the common symbols like + and - for me personally I get very confused when someone tells me to times something or convert measurement or understand certain symbols.


It cannot be defeated its a lifelong condition


It's believed 7% of the uk Popluation has the conditon , it can show at various ages , unfornately it is very damaging for adults & Children especially for adults it can damage work prospects because employers won't spend money to support the worker so they won't employ them to begin with and those wanting to attend university etc as it could mean they could not pass a maths exam for me I wanted to be a Air Traffic controller but I was destroyed and heartbroken when I could not do it and aslo for adults employment offices dont care and still expect the indivual to commit to harsh requirements even if they cannot do it.


BUT IF YOU DONT LET IT DESTROY YOU OR CONTROL YOU , YOU CAN FIGHT BACK !
