Then something happens that makes you happy, and your past thoughts seem stupid.
Is passive suicide ideation a sign of immaturity, or something serious?

I don't think it has anything to do with maturity.
Anytime a person wants to end their life there's some serious underlying issue, and although something positive might happen to distract them from those thoughts, doesn't mean the problem has disappeared.
Everyone at one point or other said 'I want to die'. That doesn't mean they take it seriously or want it. It just means they're having a bad day and they're frustrated
Is there a limit on that?
No, it's pretty normal. I got that a lot during my teenage years and I still get them occasionally, but it's really no big deal.

It's something serious for me. A person who has this thoughts needs to go to a psychologist.
Psychologists do not belong in the realm of medicine. Too theoretical.
It sounds like you have a form of depression. Do you have random moments where you just feel really depressed and suicidal for no apparent reason?
Say, whenever the person's deepest worries feel reaffirmed to him, and that leads to a chain of "My life will forever suck" thoughts.
Wow yea I get those a lot. It sucks.
What does it take you to leave the spiral?
My friends usually. Put on a brave face for my family. My dog. People at school who are funny. I watch a lot of comedy shows. Other than that I can stay like it for days even weeks :(
It is for sure serious! TRUST ME! Suicideal and cutter so I know something about this topic...
I think I already told you to see a therapist
I'm like this too.
