I'm 5'9", is that too short?

The rule is: as long as you're taller than her when she wears heels, you're fine.
And sometimes that doesn't even stand if he's the right guy. I know plenty of guys who are a LOT shorter than you and are in loving relationships and one serial player so you really have nothing to worry about. :)

Heels are the stupidest invention in the world, they look awkward, are difficult to walk in, screw up your feet, are dysfunctional and to top it off they are overly expensive. In 20 years we are going to look back at high heels and laugh at how stupid the human race really was. The fact that you would use the design of a shoe to dictate your mate preferences only reveals how primitive your brain truly is. OH and I am 6'0, so I am not just another pissy short guy.

Wow, that's kind of a harsh answer and a bit of an overreaction, don't you think? I'm just letting this guy know that he's not to short and that, for most girls, the general height rule (if one applies) is that he's taller than them in heels so that if they go clubbing or to a classy function (which usually requires heels as a dress code) that they will not be taller than him. Girls can be insecure about their height too. My taller girl friends are very insecure about it and only ever wear flats.

I wear heels. I'm under 5 foot so it kind of helps (I've been concussed in clubs and ended up in a&e before by being at elbow-height). I think they're pretty which you'll potentially bollock me for but you dress a nice outfit with heels if it's a special occasion and you choose clothes which you feel make you look pretty. Heels can give you a confidence boost. And whilst some women can't walk in heels and don't, I can.

Well, being that the average height of American men is about 5'10", I think you're OK. I mean, I'm 6 foot, and I'm a girl, but I'm just insanely tall.

Personally, I don't think a guys' height matters that much. I mean i'd rather date a guy with a great personality than a guy who's a total prick but tall. But i'm also only like 4 ft 9 so yeah

I'm only 5' 6" lol. 5' 9" is probably not going to get you into the tall people club but it's definitely adequate.

I'm 5'10" and I would date someone 5'9" it's not that short. I would PREFER a guy I'm dating is at least as tall as me if not taller than me, but realistically will I notice an inch standing next to someone who is 5'9"? Probably not.

Anything that is taller than a girl is good to a girl who is say 5'11 then yes that would be a bit short for her.
