Is 4'9 too short?

Hi guys!
So basically as the title says I'm 4'9. I'm 18 years old and have no chance to grow. My parents are 5'3 and 5'11 and I have a 5'5 13 Year Old sister so I have no idea why I'm so short. I have perfectly normal proportions and I'm super skinny.
But compared to everyone else I'm so small. In school I'm shorter than the Average Year 7 (Grade 6) and compared to friends I'm tiny. I feel I'm also too small for boys to go after me, as they see me as a kid. What can I do about this? My friends who are like 5'7 and average make fun of me light heatedly but it's so annoying as I look like their child I'm so small. I regularly get confused for 11 year olds and my sister makes fun of me a lot.
So am I just too short? Is there something I can do to change this? Also I'm quite sporty so what sports are good for people my height?

You aren't too short. I was always the shortest guy around (I'm 5' 6 1/2" now) and I just learned to not let it bother me and joke about it myself... Which you the power of others to joke about it away. Most sports are easier when you are tall but that doesn't mean you have to give up. Distance running and anything where being dynamic (it takes more energy to get a larger body moving) are sports to look at. You might still grow some, have you tracked your height and seem it plateau?

Yeah I haven't grown since I was 13. Thing is my reach is really small and so are my legs so running could be hard. I like team sports but can't get into any

You will be fine! There used to be a girl in one of our local shops about your height. She had a boyfriend, and I think got married a while ago.

It does not work like that. No guy is going to be serious about you just because of looks. To the guy that loves your personality, the REAL you, you will be head and shoulders above every one else.

To be honest, if you're too short, I'm too short. I'm 22 years old and 4' 9". Also very slim. At work I'm mistaken as a kid a lot even though I am training in management. You are going to get a lot of people with an incorrect perception of who you are but maintaining maturity and being yourself is typically what gives people a clue. As my mom said to me when growing up, looking young now is going to be essential in the future. There are also plenty of guys who like cute tiny girls believe it or not. Don't be shy about sharing your age. What I've learned is living a shameful life is a miserable life. Be yourself and know that you are not alone in this. I wish I can tell this to every 4'9"er. Ignore criticism because we live in a broken world full of insecure people. You are perfect the way you are.

Also, in terms of sports, I don't know if you noticed, all gymnasts are petite. Being small creates more mobility in that sense. Soccer is also good because you got your own angles.

Is that short? Yes.
Is it "too" short? No. There's nothing wrong with it and nothing unattractive about it.

You can play anything. Soccer, Field Hockey, Softball come to mind. Even basketball is ok, you'd just have to be fast and a really good, shifty ball handler and outside shooter. Volleyball is probably out of the question.

Gymnastics would be good, if you have any interest, or riding horses. Also try running.

Personally, I like taller women, but I would not let a woman's height keep me from dating her. Being athletic is also a big advantage, in my view.

And yeah I like gymnastics but find horse riding dull. I like team sports but feel I'm too short for them all

I have seen some short women be great basketball players. Taller girls would have to fear you stealing the ball from them at any moment, which can be disconcerting. On the other hand, defense and rebounding would be very difficult for you.

Maybe softball? You'd have a small strike zone.

Thing is with basketball the average female is like 6'0 there so looking at it I barely reach their breasts so it's hard to go there. Softball could be a good idea though. Shorests wnba player ever is 5'2

I know it's hard, but I say you really don't need to worry about it. Height really isn't a factor for most people, and those who care about it aren't worth your time and energy.
