I am 5'3 and a half and I even think I "Shrank" a half inch, who knows... But they say as you get older you do shrink and even more like Saran wrap when Real Old.
Don't be in despair, sweetie, short people have plenty of advantages. We can wear cute clothes with keeping our weight low and look cute as a button if we try hard enough. And when guys are "Short" like 5' 6, 5'7 like, being a short stop we don't go over the Top of them, only when we want to boost our height and morale by wearing high heels at times. xx

I'm only 5'2 and I hate it. I feel like I'm a midget. And pants shopping is a bitch. I just want to look all tall and thin like a model but instead I'm short (which I think makes me look chubbier). and I especially hate it because everyone in my family (and my friends) are always tall and slim so I don't match them at all making me feel like and outcast

Haha, I'm shorter, I'm 5'3 and you know what? I LOVE it. I can wear heels as tall as I want and it doesn't even matter! I'm always shorter than my bf, my dresses for events are never slutty or too short, I can ask people to reach for high things. My advice: don't worry about it! Being short has it's benefits and I'm sure if you try you can think of a few!!! :D

It can be a confidence killer indeed. But it's one of those things you can't control (unless you're talking about some sort of medical solution) so you shouldn't try to let it bother you. Easier said than done I know. I'm 5'5" so I know how it feels to be short. But i just try to not let it affect me in any way as it won't change anything.

On pretty much most things I never have to worry about ducking. I don't have to worry about getting in a vehicle and being cramped because of long legs. I don't have to worry about random people stopping me asking me if I can reach something on the top shelf. Since I'm short people wouldn't bother asking me. It's also much easier to find clothing in my size vs having to order for a specific size. A friend of mine that is 6'5 has to order all of his clothes online since most stores don't carry sizes long enough for his legs. I can also fit into small tight confined spaces. Which is useful if there is an emergency and I need to escape from something or someone. I can go into a hotel and not have to worry about the shower in the hotel being too small. My head won't be above the shower head. So, I can just take a nice hot shower standing straight up without worries.
