What do women make such a big deal about fit guys?

its (for me at least) not about being fit

but like more muscles/trength = more safety
and girls love nothing more to feel safe, warm and sheltered
big guys kinda give off those vibes

but really, a lot of girls dont even care :D even if they have a preference
i know someone who was into big muscular guys who are dark with dark hair and she doesn't like green eyes specifically
she fell for a really skinny blonde guy with green eyes :D she gave him hell at first (seriously) because she was just out of one of those relationships that break you to pieces but the guy was just so understanding and put up with all of it and kinda just calmly stood in the storm and emotional crap she went through and kinda put him through lol even though he didn't know she was messed up because of a bad ex ! dude is a freaking dream xD
but yea now she... omg what can i say, he is basically her world and she still apologizes for what she put him through till this day lol but she coudnt be happier lol

After reading your replies I can tell your very hard headed and/or can't read. You keep saying I'm fat, so why am I able to get a gf. NOBODY SAID THAT IF YOU ARE FAT YOU can't GET A GIRL. NOBODY SAID THAT EVERY SINGLE GIRL LIKES FIT GUYS AND DISLIKE FAT GUYS. Most women do in fact like fit guys who have muscles or at least guys who are average and not overweight. That's what most, not all, find attractive. Some girls do have preference for overweight or even fat guys... but that's not what most girls are attracted too. Some girls may never give a fat guy a chance because they have no attraction or interest in them even if the fat guy has a good personality. other women may be attracted to fit guys, but are able to overlook the looks and give the fat guy a chance due to a good personality. Other girls may prefer overweight guys and have no interest in fit or slim guys. However, the majority of men and women are attracted to people who are fit and slim.

Because I hold my partner up to the same standards that I hold for myself. I want a partner with roughly the same level of physical fitness as me, and I want both of us to encourage each other to live healthy lifestyles so that one doesn't bring the other down. Besides, activities like rock climbing, hiking, and various sports are all so much fun with your significant other!

I prefer husky/stocky guys, around 20-30 lbs overweight. Think Ed Sheeran. That's the body type I prefer over a 6-pack-not fat, just heavy. Somehow these guys tend to be more confident, or at least when they are they're really attractive. Sucks that they're not easy to find sometimes.

Most women prefer fit guys, that's how it is, and it's the same with guys: most of us prefer women in good shape.

Why do you get gf? For the same reason why most of the people like pizza and some others don't, because there are people with different tastes.
In this case, fit guys are pizza: most people like them, but not everyone.

Dear man,

Not all women praise being fit as highly as others, but you'll find that most, understandably, will want you to be managing your weight. It shows you have some control over it and that you care about your health. Everyone is different though.

Secondly, having a toned body does look better than no definition at all. It's just what most of us are programmed to find attractive. Some of us like some parts toned while other parts we could care less about. It's all in eye of the beholder and being that there are 7.1 billion people out there, there will be differences.

It's evolutionary; being fit shows strength and health, and therefore also the ability to protect the woman/family.

The other reason is rather obvious though. Why do men like women with big boobs, butts and flat stomachs? It's hot. Everyone wants a partner that looks good naked.

Being fit is more attractive.

But that does not mean a fat guy can not get a GF. Different people have different preferences. Some people like fit. Some like muscular. Some like heavy. Or whatever shape/size you can think of.

looks are obvious, they are disciplined differently, they handle stress better, they age WAY better, sex is WAY better, fitness affects all aspects of life...
