No period in four months?

I started taking birth control in August and after having break through bleeding for a couple weeks, I haven't had a period since then, four months later. I'm really little, about 94 pounds, and I'm wondering if since I'm so little, the hormone never wear off enough during the inactive week to give me a period? Yes, I am sexually active, but im obviously not four months pregnant. So has anyone else had their period just stop on birth control? I would rather have one so I know I'm not pregnant each month.

I'd talk to your doctor just to make sure, but it's pretty normal to have irregular periods once you start birth control; especially in the first several months. When I started I'd miss period or just get spotting. When I go off them my periods been shortened to 2 very light days.

If you're 100% sure you're not pregnant, you should see your gynecologist or your doctor. Birth control usually uses hormones. IT can take time to find the right contraception, that's why at first, you usually stay in touch with your doctor.
