Any methods to fix cracked numbers on a jersey?

I play soccer and I have jersey. I was doing laundry and I accidentally put my jersey in the dryer. When I realized what I did I took it out, but it was too late. The numbers were cracked. Any methods to fix this? (Without buying a new one)

Not sure how to fix it, but I do know that turning it inside out will help (when washing/drying)
