No, it's going to get much worse. 85% of women of reproductive age in the United States are taking oral contraceptives which contain carcinogens, and are 400 times more likely to give you cancer than cigarettes. I knew several girls when I was in high school who end up getting ovarian or cervical cancer because of the pills they were taking. The longer you take those pills, the higher the risk of getting some form of cancer. And they alter the very structure of your DNA. Not to mention the blood clots that lead to heart attacks and strokes. And that's just one kind of pill that will probably give the majority of women in this country cancer one day. Big pharm is peddling tons of other barely tested drugs that give you cancer and have all kinds of other freaky side effects, often for trivial things like depression or anxiety that aren't even really life threatening, and they only treat the symptoms, they do not actually cure anything or eliminate the cause of the problem. We won't be getting a cure for any disease long as Big Pharm can milk the wallets of all the dumb hypochondriacs in this country. If they did find a cure, they would have to come up with a way to make a synthetic version of it they could copyright before they would release it, and chances are they'd make it cause something worse than cancer is the process just to keep us all sick and running to the doctor for more pills.

Cancer yes, there has already been great advances in the field of immunotherapy - which also got to be the "Breakthrough of Science" in the magazine Science from 2013 :)

Sure but there will also likely be a few new illnesses by then that will throw them for a loop.

Yes and no. Medicine is advancing quite fast I would say. We already can cure some stages of cancer. Yet our planet is being polluted every day with new chemicals and food is being made more and more unhealthier. These lead to new heart diseases and more complex cancer situations so yeah.

Compaired to how they treated it 10 years ago we've come on leaps and bounds. By 2050 we'll be too worried about mutated cocaroaches and super aids care about cancer and heart disease

@RedThread. Exactly. My sister in law has a new kind of cancer where basically there's a hidden tumor somewhere in her body. It acts as a mother and shoots of baby cancer cells everywhere else. This kind of cancer cannot be treated by radiation or chemo!
Fortunately progress is always being made!
