To those who chew gum, about how long do you chew before you spit it out?

When I was a freshman/sophomore in high school it was not uncommon that I would chew (more so suck than chew, because we weren't supposed to chew gum) one piece of gum from 8 a. m. to 3p. m., but now it's for about an hour and a half or so at a time.

I am not a fan of gum, but if I chew it (maybe like once every 4 months) I will spit it out after about 20min
