Bleeding in between periods?

So my period isn't supposed to start for another 17 days but when I wiped there was a good amount of blood on the tissue. There's no flow but its not like it was light spotting and it was red so it wasn't old blood. I'm kinda worried because this has never happened to me before and I don't want there to be something wrong with me. I'm not pregnant because I haven't had sex since before my last period. Please help?

I would go to the doc just to rule out infections, etc even if you don't suspect one. It'll make you feel better. It could also be nothing. When you're young your cycles can change up and be abnormal often. Sometimes I get mine twice or all month. All the girls in my family have the same issues..

I would get it checked out to be safe but I can tell you for me spotting has become a normal occurrence so it can be normal
