Recently the oldest woman passed away at 116 years of age. Would you want to live that long?

From the pictures I have seen of her and a couple other people that have made it past 100, I don't think I would want to. Most are in wheel chairs if not walking with an aid of some sort. I want to live until I lose the ability to take care of myself and then have it just end.

I want to live for as long as I am healthy and happy. There does come a point where I would be miserable existing as my health gets worse. I am not sure what that point would be. Luckily technology is getting so good I don't think you or I will have to worry about that. If we hit 100, I suspect we will still be in good health.

Yes, I want to live around 125 years. Yes, it would be senile period but good or bad, I want to get most out of this life. I just can't get enough. Life is too precious to give up.

There was a lady that was 117 and she passed away, then another lady took the title as oldest, but sadly passed away a day later. So, the current oldest person is 115. But you are right the first story was about the 117 yr old

I want to live until I'm no longer healthy and/or happy I guess, and if that's past a hundred years old then fine by me. :P However, I doubt I would be very happy at that point since all my friends and family would probably be dead, unless I've befriended people who are significantly younger than me (which I doubt).

No i wouldn't. Medical science has came up with many ways to keep the body alive... but lots of time the brain doesn't. I mean dementia.

My Grammy is 99! I'd love to break an age record. Could you imagine how wise I could get if my mind was still intact?

Only if I were perfectly healthy and independant. But in reality, if you live that long, you would have to see so many personal tragedies, that it would keep breaking your heart again and again and again. But whatever God wishes. What can we say what's in store for us.

to have a long life is a blessing, however tbh... i wouldn't know if i wanted to live that long on earth where there's heaven to go to.
