Meat obviously as far as most absorbable source. But that doesn't really matter as long as you have foods that give you a reliable source. I don't eat meat so I'm totally lacking in the food group that has the most iron but I still get plenty of I don't know bc I make sure to eat things that give me iron. I don't really sat by food "group" I eat by food "content".

Meat has the most, but plant sources are the healthiest for you. Dr. Greger explains better than I do.

Fruits and veggies contain a significant amount of iron but it is not processed by the body as readily. Only a very small portion is taken in by the body. The only non-animal sources of iron that the body can actually make real use of are legumes & grains.
Meat is number one. Grains and beans are number two. Green vegetables maybe number three. The rest are mostly none.
