How can I improve my speaking skills?

So I mumble a lot and occasionally stutter I talk in a low tone and I am trying to change that I also want to increase my vocabulary can you guys help me out I don't want to limit myself to basic mundane words. I want to be able to speak and be understood to be able to express myself without cursing and to make people listen without getting mad or yellling. So like that quotes goes don't raise your voice raise your argument.

This exercise is excellent for improving your active vocabulary. Do it regularly, and better words will come to you when you want to say something:

If you can, take a course in rhetorics. It's a great subject to study if you want to communicate better.

And listen. The more people feel you understand them, the higher they will value your input.

I'm in theatre and before shows we would recite the following to warm up our diction:

Away in solemn silence,
On a dull dark dock,
Awaiting the sensation,
Of a short sharp shock,
From a cheap and chippy chopper,
On a big black block.

We would repeat this increasingly faster each time focusing on the consonants. Good luck! :)
