How can I improve my speech?

Hello everyone I come to this site to express myself... Since I was a child I have had a speech problem and therefore I can't speak properly, that caused that over the years I became a shy person and without friends, at school from time to time I was mocked by both students and teachers for not being able to speak well, I am now 20 years old, any advice? I would appreciate it very much By the way I have tried with YouTube videos to improve my speech but they don't work...

I am so sorry that you had to face the stupidity from both your peers at school but mainly from so-called educated people such as teachers that should know better not to make fun of those with a challenge.

I don't think that any of those self-produced videos by regular people would actually be of much help to you. A lot of those social sites don't really post very helpful videos as their main aim is to gain as many followers and subscribers as possible but to the detriment of quality of their posts.

The only serious help you will get is from certified specialists such as logopedics that have studied the problems you are faced with. They would be the ones that can truly assist you in improving your speech and to help you regain confidence.

I sincerely hope that you will find someone that recognizes your issue and is able to give you efficient help. Good luck.

I would say go to a speech therapist. That would be the best bet.

I had that problem as a kid, but I did a public speaking course which fixed it.
