My molars are not coming in?

im 13, yes I seem very young, don't judge, but my upper molars haven't come in and I just went to the dentist yesterday. She says I'm 7 years late for my molars and they should've came in when I was 6. I am overdue for my braces a year ago and most of my adult teeth haven't came in. My adult teeth are in the wrong places and I can't even eat properly it hurts! She says in 6 months, those molar teeth better come in or I will be doing mouth surgery with will cost thousands! The braces already cost $4500 and my parents came even afford that much. How do I get my adult upper molars in, by six months? (February 2016)

Well, you can't force them to grow. Haven't you asked the dentists these questions? I'm sure she'll be able to give you better answers than people on the internet who are most likely not dentists.

For what it's worth, one of my ex-boyfriends only had 24 teeth. The missing ones never ended up growing. It was a genetical thing.

You should talk to your parents and to your dentist. With the help of x-rays she should be able to tell if those teeth are about to come or not. Also, I am no doctor but I'm sure she should be able to tell you more than "they better come". Perhaps get an appointment with a different dentist.

I've gotten my X-ray, but there in my gums somewhere. I'll try a different dentist because she says I need to get braces in the next six months or she will do survey on me, which will cost an additional thousand dollars. I think she's forcing this too much. I'm still young, but she presses that I'm too late, and she has no choice. But it is my choice weather or not I want to do surgery, isn't it? I've told her, believe me, many times, but her answers are insufficient.

It is entirely your choice. She probably forces it because she could make a lot of money. My ex didn't do surgery until his late 20s and he lived just fine with his 24 teeth. So there is no reason for your dentist to rush you and set some deadline. You should definitely see another dentist.

I think so too, but I'm worried if it costs more. I've asked many of my friends and they said they've had it for $6500-$8000 which is beyond what I can afford. I'll try your advice though, thanks

So the bottoms came in, and I'm patienly waiting for my top two molars to come in. Thanks for the help!

Unfortunately, there's not really anything you can do to force it.

Yes but they're suppose to come in when I was 6. I am 13 now, which means it's 7 years late. This is a major issue.
