Judo a great work out, Yay or Nay?

Yes, for sure. Martial arts in general are a great workout for making your body functional. Never trained Judo, but I train Boxing, Jiu-Jitsu, Muay thain and Karate.
If you have aesthetics as your main objetctive though you should go for something else.

depends what you do during training/sparring.
a great work out depends on your goals of what you want to achieve during said workout but generally a great workout means your heart rate is always above a certain bpm.
That would be an awesome work out but would be really hard to learn.

From the little understanding I have of Judo I'd say it's too much rolling around on the floor for my taste. Taekwondo is more to my liking. But yeah all in all any martial arts is a good work out.
