There are cells on you skin called melanocytes. Under UV radiation exposure melanocytes produce melanin to absorb the UV light and as a result turn the skin darker, its what makes you darker after sunbathing. People that originate from places with not much sun have acclimatised to the environment and their melanocytes dont produce melanin effectively which is why some people can't get a tan and only burn. Within those people its possible to have genetic mutations where the skin has clusters of melanocytes that produce normal melanin, called freckles. When the person tans the melanocytes on the skin won't produce much melanin and will stay pale, however, the melanocytes that are clustered in the freckles will produce normal melanin and will get darker. This why people think that freckles appear durinh sun bathing. Thats wrong, the freckles are always there, they just get darker and more visible. They might become less visible if she doesn't sunbathe but theyll never go away.

Freckles are genetic and caused by melanin, the same thing that causes you to tan or your skin to be otherwise dark.
No, they don't go away. Only with extended lack of exposure to the sun will they fade.
I have them, and always have. I like girls who have them, too.
I get a very light scattering of freckles across the tops of my cheeks and nose in the summer if and when I get tanned. Other than that, I'm minus any freckles so yes, mine do go away.
People like myself who get freckles seasonally get it mostly resulting from sun damage. Other people, like red heads for example, get it genetically. Freckles for people who have them all over their body year round and were born with them are just clusters of overproduced melanin. In such cases, they don't go away. They may not stand out as much in the winter or the individual's tan is minimal, but they'll always be somewhat there.
I have a few scattered freckles but I don't really know where they came from because they've just been there as long as I can remember. My favorite is the one in the middle of my hand because it looks like it was on purpose.

I have face freckles all over. They show up more in the sunshine, and are less noticeable when they haven't been exposed to sunshine for a long period of time. They're always there though.
Freckles are badass and I am forever freckled. It's sun damage... But common their adorable! They do fade however I use to have tons of freckles but their not as noticeable now
Yeah, I think freckles on girls are great. I don't think they go away, but come out more from tanning I think,
But if you don't like freckles then maybe don't go after a girl with freckles? Some I don't go for, some I'm absolutely smitten over. Sometimes freckles fit sometimes they don't. Mostly I think I'm into it, not just indifferent but into it.
When they have some faint freckles scattered across their nose/upper cheeks, that's cute.
I love them on the nose mainly, and cheeks. I'm not a fan of anywhere else though
They typically don't go away. Genetics and melanin in skin causes it. It's basically a tan in small spots. I don't mind a girl having freckles.
I have freckles on my face.
Yeah I don't mind if a girl has freckles.
