It turns the person into SOMEONE he/she isn't!
It turns the person into his/her TRUE SELF!

"True self" for me, but my true self, stripped of *all* inhibitions, can be a primal beast: "Me want woman, me want food, me want more drink! Me sad because favorite friend died a few years ago (cry). Me angry, become violent!"
To me, drinking heavily is looking at a side of a mirror I don't want to see so much, that deep subconscious part, totally raw and unfiltered.
That said, this unfiltered side is chaotic, it's not something I would recognize as my true self. I might say or do things I never would when sober in my wildest dreams, but it's there, I'd say it's a part of me that's best kept reserved to the deepest inner parts of my psyche.
depends on the person and the amount they drink but in general i don't think a person's true self comes out
It's hard to vote here because it depends on the amount of alcohol one is drinking.
For example, If I drink (2 cups) --not enough to get me (drunk personally), I am still self aware but I may be more honest than usual (or not hold back as much).
If I drink beyond my limit and I am overly intoxicated, I may say things I don't even mean.
Chances are I won't even remember the next day.
So with that being said, it's hard to vote because it really depends on the situation and the individual.
A little bit of both.
Some people refer to alcohol as "Dutch Courage" , because alcohol helps them to gain more confidence to be able to say or do things which they're usually too afraid or shy to do.
Then other times , alcohol can turn someone into a violent & aggressive person, but when they aren't under the influence of alcohol, they can be a very calm peaceable sort person. So it all depends on the person. Alcohol affects people in different ways

get people to lose their inhibitions.
Ooo, I once got drunk, and I'm more of a quiet person, but funny. Well when I got drunk, I was extremely loud, and flapping my arms around everywhere, attempting to dance, hahaha hella funny, but the following morning, I thought I was gonna die. :( I hate being drunk from now on, soo embarrassing.
Both. My nature is quiet and reserved. When I drink I open up and am personable and forward and outspoken.
Those are not me. When I drink I speak my mind more, but it's not like my personality does a complete 180.
uh uh, i'm not naturally apathetic and disinterested. alcohol makes me unemotional, i think i'm naturally really emotional and interested in everything.
I think more the true honest you, at least that is the case for me.
My brother on the other hand can get short tempered and verbally agressive, and he usually doesn't act that way so I think it depends on who's getting drunk
It affects everybody differently. That's why some people are angry drunks and some are jolly drunks
it lowers their inhibitions and brings out the real person
I think more B but a bit of A as well.
Little of both
