Well I will tell you to hang in there momentarily whilst await professional help. CBT alone or sometimes combined with the right meds can really help. I actually believe from my studies that CBT alone is the better approach in most cases with longer lasting effects but it has to be strictly followed.
As for what your doctor did and didn't tell your Mum. Given your age unless you signed a release I doubt it was much and she was just inferring. Don't put your health in the arms of your mum. Don't believe anything she tells you that he said without verifying it with your medical professional.
I'm sorry but at your age and how quickly you mention your Mom I just don think she is a postive force in your recovery. Doctors aren't quick these days to label patients with a personality disorder. They actually usually avoid it all together when they can. If he mentioned it to her he would have been more specific and given her instruction.
I really hate to be this harsh but it is necessary. Ignore your Mum and talk to your doctor about what she said. My guess is that she is completely making it up. My guess it that she likes attention and that she my very well be the one with Boderline Personality Disorder.
*** This is me casting a rather large net. I could be completely wrong but I studied Borderline Personality Disorder in mothers and heir relationships with their daughters in grad school. Each case was almost exactly the same. The only thing that differed was the child's response to the maltreatment and how they coped.
Off of the very little you wrote I'm just going with my gut.
