I think I might have heartburn? Help?

Ok I've been having pain in my chest for quite some time. Kind of like tightening. It's in the middle of my chest right where my heart is. I don't know if it's heartburn but I don't know what else to call it. Any medical professions who can help? I'm 17, 5'2, and 170lbs by the way. Could it be cz I'm overweight.

Hmmmm... It could be heartburn, I have felt heartburn before and oh god I thought I was gonna have a heart attack because I didn't know at the time that it was heartburn! Here are some signs of heart burn:
-discomfort in your chest, a burning sensation or sharp pain
-shortness of breath
-loss of appitite or you get full with a few bites of anything
- upset stomach
- excessive burping
- throwing up in your mouth
- coughing

I would say just watch what you eat babe! I got heart burn because I was eating a lot of chocolate protein shakes and protein bars, and drinking a lot of coffee. Turns out chocolate and coffee are the two biggest triggers for heartburn. I cut out both chocolate and coffee from my diet and I haven't felt heart burn since. Hope this helps! And yea losing some weight won't hurt
