Protein: Excessive Liver Enzymes?

I used to donate plasma, and I was fine majority of the time. I ate a ton of protein, also. As time continued it began taking a toll on my body. The last time I went, I ended up being temporarily deferred due to excessive liver enzymes in my body. Does eating an excessive amount of protein cause the liver to swell or to produce an excessive amount of enzymes? If there is a correlation, how do I lower the levels? I don't drink, and I have only been having sex with one person. I am sure I don't have any forms of hepatitis.

No, excessive protein won't have an effect on the liver size. Enzyme production would be so high, there is a maximum, once all enzymes are active for protein then the rest of the protein will just convert into different structures such as fat.

I have a little scar on my left arm from donating plasma so many times in college, a reminder of how poor I was back then lol

Do you take a lot of Tylenol or acetaminophen? As dumb as it was I was young and abused Tylenol and would take 8-10 at a time and my liver enzymes went up. The Tylenol affects your liver, or maybe could be another medication if you take any.
