Is it normal to be this uncomfortable with these things?

I'm extremely uncomfortable with needles, it's not the pain it's just the discomfort and nastiness. 7 months ago when I got my blood drawn when the needle it was I was sweating and it was really cold and I also felt like I was going to throw up. I'm not making crap up or exaggerating I really seriously felt like I was going to throw up and I felt like I couldn't breath. Is this abnormal?

I used to be the same way until I had to get allergy shots 4 times a week when I was in my teens. Now I don't even feel them. Whenever I have an IV put in, I usually tell the nurse which veins they should use, as I prefer them in the back of my hands.

It's also because I've seen crime shows where they do heroin, and to me there's nothing on the planet more disgusting than that and me sitting there with a needle in me really bothers me

I get super light headed if I look at the needle and seeing my blood drawn. My dad does too.
