Do you miss stuff when you have a cold?

Let's say you have all the symptoms except a fever. I cannot stand being around people when I have a cold. From the constant blowing my nose to the obnoxious sniffling I usually stay home one day.

I miss at least one day of school and I am in high school.

I do not stay home for a cold and I am in high school.

I miss at least one day of school and I am in college.

I do not stay home for a cold and I am in college.

I miss at least one day for a cold and I have a job (after college).

Great question! One thing I cannot stand is someone who is sick, but yet goes to school or work and just spreads the virus and makes everyone else sick! If people would just stay home until they are better then there would be a lot less sick people out there. But, in reality, I totally understand most people cannot afford to miss a week of school or work to stay home during a cold. Even during the worst of colds I can still function at work, but I try to balance between staying home during worst couple of days and fighting through it at work. The last thing I want to do is make someone else sick, but at the same time I have bills to pay and a job to do. Tough call sometimes!
