Honestly bmi only applies to people who never work out with stereotypical builds. Excludes most everyone. If you're not working out and you're an extreme in either direction, feel free to react. If you're doing sports you can't use BMI anymore.
Mine is sky-high, but I probably have next to no bodyfat.

I'll omit my opinion on BMI (since you asked) and simply tell you that a body fat percentage calculator is much more reliable.
