Who is right about how to dress for spring skiing? Me or my boyfriend?

I want to wear the first outfit, but my boyfriend says you should always avoid cotton and wear proper ski clothes, who is right?

You will sweat some, even if mid winter. Cotton will hold that against you. You want material that will wick the moisture away from you. He is right on this.

I don't know too much about skiing but I would assume you'd want to avoid cotton and jeans.

Avoid cotton. You don't want to have frozen jeans on you.

And by the way, non-cotton pants are often a lot lighter than jeans. So yes, wear something light, just not cotton.

Take the pants and base layers from the outfit he suggested, and you're good.

You just don't want cotton. Once it's wet, it takes forever to dry. Wet clothing makes you cold. Cold makes you dead.

Nothing wrong with dressing light, but definitely wear waterproof clothes. If you get wet you'll be super cold
