Can I not use wig shampoo for my wigs?

I've recently bought a wig, and my shampoo for the wig ran out :( so can I wash the wig without shampoo? or can I use my shampoo to wash the wig? (the wig is new, but after I wear the wig I'll still have to wash it again) so yeah.

Depends if it's real 100% human hair or a synthetic cheap wig.

With real 100% human hair you can wash it with any kind of shampoo. Don't brush it while it's wet and don't blow dry it. Just let it air dry. When it's dry then use a comb to comb it out.

With a synthetic wig you need to buy the wig shampoo. You can't use any shampoo to just wash it. So when you do get some more of that wig shampoo, turn the wig inside out, put some shampoo in the water, give it a good mix and let it soak in the water for 5 minutes.
