Trending & News "The fact that only 5–10% of all cancer cases are due to genetic defects and that the remaining 90–95% are due to environment and lifestyle provides major opportunities for preventing cancer."
This study has amazing information in it about preventing cancer as they've done their best to identify as many risk factors as they could.
Risk factors include:
-Tobacco and second-hand smoke
-Alcohol
-Red meat
-Processed meat
-Cooked meat (bbq is most dangerous, though carcinogens are created during any form of cooking meat surprisingly. This does not happen when cooking plants)
-Food additives, processed food of any kind
-Chemicals from plastics that come in contact with our food
-Saturated fat
-Trans fat
-Refined sugar
-White flour
-Being overweight or obese (having extra adipose tissue)
-Exogenous hormones
-Infectious agents (infections)
-Environmental pollution
-Radiation coming from radioactive substances, UV rays from the sun, cell phones, etc.
How to take all measures to protect oneself from cancer:
-Never smoke or be around people that smoke
-Never drink alcohol
-Never eat meat
-Never eat dairy
-Never eat eggs
-Never eat processed food or preservatives
-Eat a diet low in fat (saturated and trans)
-Have a healthy BMI or body fat %
-Do not take any form of hormones coming from outside of the body, this includes food (meat, dairy, eggs) as well as supplements, steroids, or birth control.
-Use as little technology as possible.
-Live in the country, away from as many environmental pollutants as possible.
-Exercise every day
Conclusion: no matter what we do in our lives, we will be exposed to carcinogens, but there is plenty of measures one can take to prevent cancer, especially considering that diet and lifestyle is responsible for the majority of risk factors.

Everyone has cancer... It's just asleep.. Shhhh!!
Eventually, some day in the future, cancer will be like that of the common cold.
Future scenario:
Shiela: "hey gin let's go out tonight!"
Gin: "oh naw, I've had cancer the whole week, maybe next time".
Shiela: "oh I had cancer last week too, can you believe people used to die of cancer?
Gin: "yeah, that's weird".
Just like how people used to die from sneezing...
@orphan ohh? upload.wikimedia.org/.../...l_rooster_on_Kauai.jpg this? :D! YES!! it can fit in my grill or my oven..

usually it's 3-4 years that the cancer ha been there before it' diagnosed. it seems all of a sudden because yesterday they were fine, and today they are in extreme pain due to the mass having grown large enough to finally press on an organ, etc. that's how most people find out they have cancer... the pain brings them to the doc or E. R.
even if you got MRIs, ct scans, and x rayed regularly, it's still undetectable until it's a certain size. with no pain to suggest which areas to scrutinize on your body, they'd just be chasing a bunch of black blobs on the images.
however, this practice is employed for breast cancer, looking specifically in each is regular for women.
They don't really know. I've heard some interesting theories, but there is no set in stone scientific facts about what cause cancer. That's why someone can chain smoke cigarettes until 80 and die of age. While someone else can smoke cigarettes regularly and get lung cancer at 45. Vegans get cancer. Everyone can get cancer. Scientific research is still out. But there is some truth to how much stress you have is a factor. Of cancer patients that do get cured, they all accepted their situation. Are a cleaner diet and went on vacation. On their vacation the cancer went away. It's crazy honestly.

It's usually not all of the sudden. It's rare that say a tumor goes from 3cm to 20cm in say 6 months. It's usually there for awhile and symptoms won't develop until it's bad. Obviously exposing yourself to radiation or smoking isn't great for you and can accelerate cancerous cells. Most things nowadays can "give" you cancer but you need to ingest a lot of it. EX: Smoking 1 cigarette won't give you cancer. If you smoke a pack a day for 20 years however, your risk is a lot higher.
I think it's the gov causing it. And the scariest thing about it is they are also helping big pharma cover up cures for it to keep the victims of it from getting those cures.
no one really knows, lots of people blame it on a verity of products or activities like smoking or something. i personally think that (at least in older people) it is the body breaking down after so many years
