And there are other ways to die that might even be worse than cancer. In Canada I think 1 in 2 people get cancer and 1 in 4 die from it. But it has not been updated since 2016. A tour guide told us less than 10% die from non disease or sickness or disability related clauses. My grandpa died within 8 minutes of feeling sick and did not suffer at all, his last feeling before his death was an urge to urinate. My other grandpa suffered 6 years of torturing sickness. His wife could barely find the strength to look at him cause she could not bear his pain. They hired a maid who was very poor to take care of him and she would steal when the house was unoccupied so my Grandma was home almost 24/7 to prevent her from stealing their things. My grandma loved my grandpa but she did not have the muscles to lift him from one room to the other for washroom breaks and eating breaks so they needed a young person with muscular strength.

Why would you hire a person who steals? I would think you get anybody else at that point.

They had to travel all the way by train to the farms 4-6 hours away to find somebody willing to accept the low pay they offered so they decided to stick it out.

I just had my gyn office ran genetic testing to attempt to predetermine my likelihood of getting cancer. I was only 19% likely to get cancer based upon the results to my genetic testing.

If you are indeed terrified about getting cancer then I can not think of a better reason your living your life fully. Talk about motivation to get one's profession career and personal life in order... fear of death would be it.

One can use this fear as motivation if one chooses too. It is all about Worldview.

There are high chances for so many things so it's not worth fearing it all until you're closer to it

You don't have a 1 in 3 chance. One in 3 people get cancer. There is a difference. Obesity, nicotine, alcohol and more effect cancer chances. If you avoid all this, your chances are much lower. Life choices have a lot to do with it.
