A bruise is broken blood vessels under the skin. That is not a bruise. That is the reaction to the TB test stuff being poked into your skin, and is normal. And since you have now had it read, you know how it looks after a few days.
This is normal, don't worry about it. I had one back about seven years ago. It goes away after a week or so.
Oh thank God when the nurse was giving my shit another nurse came in and asked her to look at her shot to verify it or something and she didn't have anything and she got her shot two days before.
Yeah you'll be fine. Have they already read your result to see if you tested negative foe TB?

No this is my first test. If i test positive i will have to get a chest x ray. And as you know, I can't leave my house the nurse wanted to check it today. I might be able to be go later when they leave but i will have to wait until my brother gets home and take him with me. I called my boss to see if I could push it to tomorrow.
Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it. though. TB is pretty rare anymore especially in a developed country like the US. There. are a few cases that come in from other countries, but overall is pretty rare.
I just got home from having my TB test read, I am not infected I have my second test next week.
Thats good. You have to have another TB test?
Just this one time I have to have two. Then one a year every year I work here. I think it's to make sure it's not a false negative.
Oh ok, when I worked in a daycare. it. was every three years then it was phased out because it. was costing the state of Tennessee a lot of money
"The bruise should have gone away"
"Is this normal"
If it's supposed to have gone away by now then, logically, it's not normal. If it's not causing you any harm then don't worry about it.
Does it itch or burn? Some people heal differently.
I feel no pain but when I got it read today, a nurse drew some lines over it for measuring purposes with a pen and I felt a tiny bit of pain it felt like a small pinch.
Hmmm... Just keep an eye on it. Wash it with warm water and soap with no perfumes. If it gets worse go back to the doctor!

It is not uncommon to have a "bruise" at the site of a TB skin test.
The test's results are determined by the size of the induration (swelling) at the injection site. The swelling typically peaks between 48 and 72 hours after the injection.
If you had the test on lets Tuesday at 9 am, you should expect the swelling to peak between Thursday and Friday.
If the swelling does not seem to be improving or you have concerns about your reaction, I would recommend contacting your healthcare provider to discuss your symptoms and determine the best course of action.
The only time you have to worry, if i recall correctly is if it turns really hard and painful. I have had a few of those in my past, and that is the way the nurse explained it to me. Discoloration is normal, and will go away with time.
My sister had one when she volunteered at the zoo and it didn't fade for a while,
You are probably fine
Last one I got took like a week to go away
thats gross! ): I am sorry!
