The bruising has got worse and so has the bleeding underneath the skin

I'd ask a doctor. I've never had a bruise like that after a blood test, but it's possible that your bruise is just closer to the surface. A bruise is just collection clotting blood beneath the skin. If it doesn't get any larger, you might be fine, but I'd give it a day or two first.
Did they have trouble finding a vein? I know that my skin will look similar after having the IV in for treatment but it's worse when they have to dig around to find the vein. I'd give it a day and if it looks like it's getting worse, I'd go see about it.
Yikes. I'd go get it checked out just to be safe.
Thanks for MHO. Is it better?
Ahh, ok. As long as it's starting to heal
It's normal after having your blood taken.
You just need to be patient, it will naturally disappear with time.
I've had the worst bruise from a hospital stay from ~1 1/2 weeks ago on my hand and it still hasn't fully gone away.
Agh, it really shouldn't be that bad. Did they have a hard time finding a vein?
Just keep an eye on it. I'd get it checked in a few days if the bruise doesn't look like it's healing.
I'm sure I've seen some like that when my mum's had blood taken. Obviously not a doc though. I'd guess it'd clear of its own accord, but definitely don't know for certain. Cute arm by the way :)
This shouldn't be there ideally. And as I mentioned earlier, anatomy differs from person to person.
You really must see a doctor and put everyone including your fears at rest :)
Thank you for liking my opinion beautiful young lady <3 :)

I've had blood drawn from me and it's never looked like that. Maybe you should go get it checked just in case.
Looks like the nurse or whoever who gave you the shot didn't do a very good job, seems like they missed. It looks pretty bad yeah but I've had pretty bad bruising there myself not as bad as yours, but still its from them either missing and poking it several times or just not getting the right spot don't worry its nothing serious.
When the needle was being taken out did you apply pressure for a good minute?
Hmmm It definitely looks like a hematoma because I've had one similar to yours. Which can happen if she didn't take off the tourniquet on time, not applying the amount of pressure, or going through the actual vein. It will clear up on it's own but if it gets bigger or darker then go see your doctor!
Whoever took your blood should have advised you that you may experience bruising, redness, or itching for up to 48 hours. Go in if it's been that long and have it looked at.
Yes that looks pretty serious, you should speak with a doctor about it. I bruise easily and have gotten bruises after giving blood, but never to that extent.
yes
you might have a lack of enzymes that hinder your blood from congealing properly !
(Or the doctor has messed up and didn't do it properly )
The person just blew a vein... your body is going to reabsorb all that in a few hours... happened to me... freaked me out at first too...
Oh my goodness! ._. I understand it changes color but wow! Looks like its bigger or spreading.___. Definitely should call them and ask them about it
I just got a blood test for my work and it looks nothing like that, go to a doctor.

See doctor, if it get worse. Could get worse if you get some sort of treatment.
could get worse if you don't get any treatment..**
No it is fine, you worry too much.
The affected area will eventually turn yellow until it dissipates completely.

Ouch. That "nurse" really f'ed up.
Try to avoid going to that office.
I have never had anything like that & I had blood drawn every day for a week.
Mine get bad like that too.
My blood tests always bruise like that.
It looks gross, see a doctor.
I'd get that checked out if I were you 😐
Yes! Get that checked out ASAP
How long has this been?
Does it burn or hurt when you touch it?
Ok it's starting to yellow a little bit so that means it's healing. The technician who drew your blood just did a bad job. :/
