Ringing in ears?

I was recently diagnosed with an ear infection after a long and painful cold. My cold is better although i still have a very little runny nose... As for my ears, I started taking antibiots three days ago. Tonight, i felt the ringing in my ears become stronger and its really annoying me now. (I have ringing and my left ear has been clogged for a week) Should i worry about this? My mom called and made an appointment to see the doctor but i dont know if i should tell her to just wait it out instead of them draining my ears or whatever else... Anyone have opinions on this or have the same problem?

This is most likely something called Tinnitus. I occasionally have the same problem, especially when my ears are clogged. Ear infections can definitely cause this. I would get it checked out just to be safe.

Have you ever got ur ears drained? If so, does it hurt?

No, but I have had my ear drums burst before... that is excruciating. The doctor will most likely give you ear drops and possibly antibiotics.

It's pretty normal for when you have an infection.

Get it drained ASAP. I suffer from tinnitus due to barotrauma, but my boss had an infection and waited too long to get his ear drained and lost half his hearing in the processs. Do NOT take this lightly.
